I graduated from Northland International University in May of 2014 with a BA in Biblical Studies and a minor in Koine Greek. I have been married to my wonderful, beautiful wife, Carley, since June 25th 2011. She is constantly a model of Christ-likeness and humility that God has used to make me look more like His Son. She is everything and more that I have ever wanted and needed in a spouse and I am very thankful to God for her! God has also seen fit to bless us with our first child. Elam Tadd Fardi-Turkmani was born on April 14th 2014, and he has been a huge joy and blessing to our family. God has burdened me to spend my life working in full-time ministry, especially in the area of the local church. Within the context of the local church, I am especially burdened to preach and I am working up to that goal.
I have recently accepted a Pastoral Internship with First Baptist Church in Silvis, Illinois and I am working on my graduate degree from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Carley and I are very excited to be back in our home church serving in this way.
I am a huge Green Bay Packers fan and enjoy watching a variety of sports, football being my favorite. I love playing board games, especially strategy games. Magic the Gathering, Star-Wars X-Wing, and Imperial are among my favorite games to play. I love reading fiction especially fantasy and other books on theological topics. John Piper is one of my favorite writers, as is Doug Wilson. I love drinking coffee and talking theology with people. Carley and I love having people into our home to enjoy the Christian fellowship.
I love music and a variety of genres. These include; Indie, Rock, Folk, Contemporary Christian, Classic Rock, and Classical. There isn’t a lot of music that I do not enjoy. Some of my favorite bands or musicians are: Andrew Peterson, The Shins, The White Stripes, Mumford and Sons, Josh Garrells, Rich Mullins, and a lot of others.
My favorite movies are from a wide range of different genres including: Braveheart, Les Miserables (The recent one), and A Beautiful Mind. I find that I do enjoy most movies.
